Programme structure

The Forum is organized on 4 sessions, an oral presentations session and a field trip.

SESSION 1: New trends, challenges and opportunities on forest policy

This session deals with the main tendencies, challenges and opportunities concerning Mediterranean forests that appears within the world and European context, as well as its implementation at a national level. The current European policies concerning forests will be also discussed.

SESSION 2: Forest sector, society and communication

This session deals with the aspects concerning social awareness and communication strategies to and forward the forest sector and de society. It includes a Round table about communication, publicity and forest sector agents.

SESSION 3: Forest policy and ownership and industry corresponsability

New challenges to the sustainable forest management, financing, climatic change and intersectorial coordination. Social agents and forestry administration point of view.

SESSION 4: New environmental challenges and social corresponsability

This session will analyze the forests and society synergies and opportunities by means of the enterprises and foundations role on the management and conservation of forests, as well as the participation of the society and the pedagogy from the environmentalism.
